Hola, queridos lectores. Espero que esteis bien.

Perdonadeste paréntesis en mi blog del que no anuncié nada y que me tieneapartada desde hace unos cuantos días de la blogosfera. Como comentéanteriormente, el 2012 ha llegado lleno de nuevos proyectos para mí queno he podido retrasar y en los que me estoy sumergiendo por momentos,cada vez más y llena de ilusión. Creedme, hubiera querido publicarmucho antes y visitar vuestras publicaciones, pero no he podido evitaresta ausencia que durará, todavía unas semanas.

Feliz Año a todos! No he podido empezar peor el año que con un catarrazo que me ha dejado en casa desde el miércoles pasado. El estress de las semanas anteriores me ha pasado factura, pero nada me ha impedido celebrar la llegada del nuevo año. Reuniones familiares y sentirme arropada por mi familia y novio ha sido lo mejor de estos días.

Nuevos sueños, nuevas ilusiones... Este año 2012 en especial estoy llena de proyectos -algunos ya empezados en el 2011- que espero se cumplan. Y no me refiero sólo a apuntarme al gimnasio o mejorar mis inglés, se trata más bien de mejorar mi estilo de vida interior y exterior. Mens sana in corpore sano...

Estoy ansiosa con este nuevo comienzo. ¿Qué hay de vuestros proyectos para el 2012?

Happy New Year to all! I started the year with a terrible flu that has left me at home since last Wednesday. I paid the stress of the previous weeks, but nothing stopped me to celebrate the new year. Feel wrapped up by my family and boyfriend was the best of these holidays.
New dreams, new illusions... This year 2012 I am speciallly full of projects, -some already started in 2011 - which I hope will be fulfilled. I refer not only to sign up to the gym or improve my English, it is more about improving my in and out lifestyle. Mens sana in corpore sano, you know what I mean...

I am very exciting for this new beginning. What about your 2012 plans?

Buenos días!

Hoy propongo una cocina muy especial. Pocas veces publico cocinas (de hecho, creo que esta es la primera vez que lo hago) y no es que las tenga manía. Al contrario, pienso que es una de las partes más importantes de un hogar.

Me gusta el carácter de sus materiales, en este caso. La calidez de la madera rústica la convierte en un espacio acogedor y las piezas de mobiliario moderno le dan el toque fresco perfecto. Campo o ciudad? Bien podríamos situarla en una gran casa de campo o en un apartamento maravilloso de la gran ciudad. Ideal para cocinar, reuniones familiares, o espacio de trabajo...

I rarely post images of kitchens and today I propose a very special one. In fact I think this is the first time I do, but I haven't nothing against them. I think is one of the most important parts of a home.
I like the character of their materials, in this case. The rustic wood makes a cozy place and modern furniture pieces give it the perfect cool touch. Countryside or city? Well, this kitchen could be in a large countryside house but also in an fabulous apartment in the city. Ideal for cooking, family gatherings, or workspace...

THE ANTIQUE CHANDELIER

Hola a todos! ¿Cómo van vuestros preparativos navideños? No queda nada para Navidad y esta semana se está conviertiendo para mí en algo más que ocupada. Supongo que estamos todos en la misma "barca"...., y además de cumplir con nuestras obligaciones diarias no podemos evitar (creo que hablo en nombre de todos) querer decorar nuestras casas y buscar en cualquier escaparate, revista, casa de nuestra mejor amiga, la idea más adecuada para estos festejos.

Visto el bombardeo de ornamentación navideña que sufrimos en estas fechas me he vuelto una radical defensora del lema "menos es más" y de sacar partido de ciertos objetos que tengamos en casa.

Seguramente ninguno de nosotros tengamos candelabro tan impresionante como este, pero me han inspirado muchísimo sus flores en porcelana blanca, sus hojas doradas y la calidez de las velas. ¿No es precioso? Seguro que queda perfecto en la mesa de Navidad.

Hi everyone! Christmas is just arround the corner and this week is turning more than busy to me. I guess we're all in the same side..., and apart to fulfilling our daily duties we can't avoid to decorate our houses, and make a searching of the better suggestion in any window, magazine, or our best friend's home .
Having regard to the explosion of ornaments in this annual celebrations I have become a radical advocate of "less is more" and to take advantage of certain items that we have at home.
I haven't got an chandelier as impressive as this, but I have seen "Christmas time" in its white porcelain flowers, gold leaves and warmth candles. Isn't it beautiful? It must be perfect at the Christmas table.

NOTES OF GREEN AND GOLD

He encontrado en los salones del Schlosshotel Berlin unos colores siempre inspiradores para Navidad. Los clásicos verde y oro. En este caso un verde agua y un oro viejo, menos vistos en estas fechas, que me recuerdan más bien la época de María Antonieta. La corona verde de hortensias, que podría ser un objeto decorativo en cualquier época del año, me sugiere un atrevido contraste con tonos púpuras. ¿Qué os parece?

I found in the Schlosshotel Berlin rooms a beautiful inspiring tones for Christmas. The classic green and gold colours. Well, it is a soft green (less used) and old gold which remind me the time of Marie Antoinette. The green wreath of hydrangeas, that could be a decorative object at any time of the year, suggests a daring contrast with purple tones. What do you think?

THAT FRIDGE ...

No, esta mañana no me he levantado tan sonriente como Eugenia Silva en la foto. Tengo horas de sueño acumuladas y mi despertar en los últimos días deja muy poco lugar al buen humor...

Lo que sí me hace cambiar la cara a diario es mi desayuno de leche con cereales y descubrir nuevos diseños en decoración, y reencontrar otros que ya se han convertido en un clásico del diseño contemporáneo, como este frigorífico SMEG, estilo años 50.

La modelo lo ha elegido en rosa para su cocina rústica de toques eclécticos. Atrevido y acertado!

No, this morning I didn't wake up smiling like the model Eugenia Silva does in the photo. I had needed to sleep more hours in the last week so my waking up in recent days leaves little place to a good mood ...
Well, what it makes change my face is my breakfast of milk and cereal and the daily finding of new designs, and to came across with others which have already become a classic contemporary design, as this SMEG fridge, 50's style.
Eugenia has chosen in pink colour for her eclectic rustic kitchen. Daring and successful!

LIGHT AU LAIT : Ingo Maurer

Ingo Maurer podría caracterizarse por su imaginación sin límites que le hace crear esculturas que "iluminan". Me quedé enamorada de este modelo, Light au Lait, cuando la semana pasada, en casa de una amiga, ví estos apliques iluminando su comedor. No sólo llamaban la atención por su diseño original - y aparentemente sencillo - sino también por la luz cálida que proyectaban. Una pieza más para mi lista de sueños.

Ingo Maurer could be characterized by his boundless imagination to create sculptures that "iluminate". I fell in love with this model, Light au Lait, when last week at a friend's home, I saw these wall lamps in her dining room. My attention was attracted by not only its original design - and seemingly simple - but also by the warm light. One more piece for my list of dreams.

Hola a todos! ¿Qué tal vuestro fin de semana? He vuelto después de una semana ausente... y sin haber dado señales de vida. Perdonad.

Me tomé un largo puente para viajar a Madrid y, como siempre que voy a España, lo disfruté muchísimo. Ver a amigos y familiares, conocer gente nueva, ir al teatro, hacer shopping, belleza femenina en el centro de estética, etc... Vamos un "no parar"! Ahora, recién aterrizada, prosigo intentando poner orden en mi vida rutinaria y actualizaros con mis novedades decorativas.

Hi all! How about your weekend? I'm back after a week away from the blog... and without any signs of life. Forgive me.

I took some days off to travel to Madrid and, as always I go to Spain, enjoyed it very much. Meeting friends and family, going to the theater, shopping, beauty center, etc ... A "no stop"! Now, newly landed, I'm trying to put order in my daily routine and share some decorative news.

The modern touch to this space puts it this decolorized pink carpet, signed by Carpet Reloaded, that you can find in Dolz Colección. Doesn't fabulous?

LUNES + SUGERENCIAS NAVIDEÑAS

MONDAY + CHRISTMAS SUGGESTIONS

Feliz (tardío) lunes! ¿Qué tal vuestro fin de semana? El mío ocupadísimo, como siempre que lo paso en casa. Quiero hacer tantas cosas, que no puedo hacer durante la semana, que lo dejo todo para el finde! ¿No deberían ser unos días de relax? Pues en mi caso no, así que se convierten en un agobio total, con agenda organizadora y todo.

Entre las cosas que tocaba hacer (por decisión propia y que os comentaba aquí) estaba la decoración navideña. Inicié las búsqueda de unas ramitas secas que hicieran las veces de árbol, pero fué un intento frustradísimo, así que decidí no complicarme y usar el árbol minimalista de Ikea del año pasado. Os parecerá demasiado minimalista pero las navidades las paso en España, en casa de mi familia, y me parece excesivo trabajo y tiempo decorar mi apartamento con todo el tinglado navideño, por lo que tiendo a dar simplemente toques decorativos.

Como os decía, completé mi "árbol" con unas bolas en colores rosas, grises y platas, colgué unas lágrimas de cristal y una guirnalda en forma de ramitas con lucecillas que le dieron forma y... voilà!... He quedado muy satisfecha.

Ahora la red, como nuestro entorno, están llenos de ideas para estas fiestas a las que no soy ajena. Recoger todas las que me gustan no me es posible pero quiero compartir aquí algunas de mis favoritas:

1 - Para escribir vuestras tarjetas de felicitaciones podeis inspiraros en esta caligrafía impresionante de Plurabell - Contemporary Calligraphy. No es preciosa?

2 - Repetto me enamora cada temporada con sus productos. Los bolsos de esta temporada son maravillosos, entre los que destaco el modelo Cabas Arebesque en diferentes colores.

3 - Sarah Klassen, desde su maravillosos blog Haute Design, nos da unas ideas elegantísimas y originales en decoración navideña.

4 - ¿Qué no sabeis que poneros para estas fiestas? Echad un vistazo a los modelos que presenta Massimo Dutti en su "especial eventos".

5 - Para regalos navideños se me ocurre un bonito papel y una gran cinta de tela como estas de GrandinRoad.

6 - Mi nuevo blog favorito de fotografía es Dream Camera, presentado por el archiconocido blog From Me to You. Fotografía muy inspiradora.

Happy (late) Monday! How about your weekend? Mine was very busy, as long as I spend it at home. I would to do everything I cann't do during the week, but they shouldn't be days of relaxation? Well, not in my case, so it become a burden, organized with agenda and so on...
Among the things that had to do (by choice and that I commented here) was the Christmas decorations. I began the search for dry twigs to becoming them a Christmas tree, but it was an attempt very frustrated, so I decided to keep it simple and use my Ikea minimalist tree of last year. It can seem too minimalist but I spend the holidays at my family's home, in Spain so I think it is too much work and time to decorate my apartment with the whole Christmas shebang, then I tend to give just decorative touches.
I completed my "tree" with balls in colors pink, gray and silver, hung crystal tears and a wreath in the shape of twigs with little lights that shaped and...voilà! Now I'm very satisfied.

Now the network, as our environment, are full of ideas for these holidays to which I can't remain indifferent. Collect all the ones isn't possible to me, but I'd like to share here some of my favorites:

1 - To write your Christmas cards you can inspire in this impressive calligraphy of Plurabell - Contemporary Calligraphy. Isn't it beautiful?
2 - I love every season products of Repetto. Cabas Arebesque bags in different colors are the most notably to me.
3 - Sarah Klassen, from her wonderful blog Haute Design, gives us very elegant and original lesson about Christmas decorations. Absolutely gorgeous.
4 - Don't you know what to wear for this upcoming festivities? Take a look at the looks presented by Massimo Dutti brand in "special events".
5 - For Christmas gifts I can think of a nice paper and a cloth ribbon like this from GrandinRoad.
6 - My new favorite photography blog is Dream Camera, presented by the well-known blog From Me to You. Very inspiring photography.

MI PLAN DE FIN DE SEMANA

MY WEEKEND PLAN

Tengo tantas cosas pendientes en la cabeza para hacer este fin de semana que este anuncio me ha recordado que además tengo que ¡decorar mi apartamento! Qué cabecita...

Me inclino por algo muy sencillo y sin complicaciones. Algunas bolas, velas y ramitas iluminadas sutilmente. Aunque este año me apetecía el clásico rojo y oro reciclaré mi casi nueva decoración del año pasado en tonos rosas y grises. ¿Cuál es vuestra inspiración para esta Navidad?

I have so many things to do this weekend that fortunately this advertising reminded me that I also have to decorate my apartment. How could I have forgotten it?!

I prefer a very simple decor. Some balls, candles and subtly lit twigs. This year I'd rather the classic red and gold colours but I'll definitely reuse my almost new decoration in pink and grays of the last year . What is your inspiration for these Christmas season?

Revisando el suplemento de Vogue Joyas del año pasado he tenido un flechazo con la delicadeza de estas dos piezas de joyería, pertenecientes a la colección de joyas Les Plumes de Chanel. Las plumas supusieron para Coco Chanel una pasión que duró toda la vida y que dieron vida a una colección con nombres tan evocadores como Colibri, Plumetis o Nid. ¿Qué os parece? El broche Plume que veis en la primera fotos es la pieza emblemática, realizado en oro blanco y un total de 1.161 diamantes!!

¿Sois de usar joyas? No siempre tengo la necesidad de lucir la ostentosidad de las joyas pero me encanta verlas como pequeñas y exquisitas esculturas.

I was browsing my last year Vogue Jewels magazine when I had a crush on the sensitivity of these two jewels belonging to the jewelry collection of Chanel, Les Plumes. The feathers were for Coco Chanel a passion that lasted a lifetime and gave life to a collection with such evocative names as Colibri, Plumetis or Nid. What do you think? The brooch named Plume, that you see in the first photo, is the emblematic piece, made in white gold and a total of 1,161 diamonds!
Do you like wearing jewells? I don't usually have the need to show up the opulence of a jewel but I love to see them as small and exquisite sculptures.

LADY LOFT: Diane Bergeron

Diane Bergeron ha sabido llevar NYC a Melbourne, creando una vivienda de elegancia fresca en un edificio industrial que originariamente había sido un almacén de documentos. Esta diseñadora textil, muy dada a dar toques inesperados de gran impacto, se lanzó a hacer lo mismo en este espacio donde no había electricidad ni calefacción, así que cubrió algunas de las paredes de ladrillo visto con sedas y los suelos de cemento con alfombras de colores y estampados gráficos. Se inspiró en una atmósfera Hollywoodiense de los años 40, un aire retro Palm Spring, una elegancia Art Decó y lo convirtió en su propio hogar y showroom de su negocio de diseño textil e interiorismo, DB Home.

"Sé que mucha gente tiene miedo de utilizar el color, pero si realmente dedicas tiempo a pensar en cómo lo vas a utilizar, te puedes crear un espacio increíble que se ve brillante, vivo e intemporal". Diane Bergeron.

Diane Bergeron has created a New Yorker space into Melbourne, in the creation of a fresh elegance housing within an industrial building which was originally a document store. This textile designer, lover to give unexpected touches to high-impact, was launched to do the same in this space where there was no electricity or heating. She covered some of the brick walls with silk, and the cement floors with colourful and graphic prints rugs. Her inspiration was a 40's Hollywood atmosphere, a retro Palm Spring style, and an Art Decó elegance, that became this loft in her own home and showroom of her interior and textile design bussines, DB Home.

"I know that many people are afraid to use color, but if you really spend time thinking about how you're going to use, you can create a space that looks incredibly bright, vivid and timeless". Diane Bergeron.

ZÜRICH

Hola a todos!, ¿qué tal vuestro fin de semana? Yo lo he disfrutado en una de las ciudades más cosmopolitas (y caras) del mundo: Zürich. Hacía más de un año que no la visitaba y nada mejor que un visita a casa de mi hermano para volver. Creo que me estoy acostumbrando a la vida excesivamente tranquila de Lugano, por lo que no deja de entusiasmarme la vida de las calles de Zürich, también en domingo. Tiendas abiertas, paseos alrededor del lago llenos de gente, cafeterías para todos los gustos, mercadillos de Navidad y una iluminación navideña que inunda calles y comercios.

Os deseo un feliz lunes!

Hi everyone, how about your weekend? I've enjoyed one of the most cosmopolitan (and expensive) cities in the world: Zürich. Nothing beats a visit to my brother to return to this wonderful city. I think I'm too used to the quiet life of Lugano, so I get so excited for life in the streets of Zurich, also on Sunday. Shops open, walks around the lake full of people, all kind of cafes, Christmas markets and beautiful Christmas lights that flooded streets and shops.

GRAND TRIANON, VERSAILLES

No soy nada barroca en mi estilo personal, más bien todo lo contrario, pero estoy enamoradísima del Grand Trainon, de un Barroco menos recargado que el del Palacio de Versailles, y extremadamente femenino. El edifico de mármol rosa está rodeado de jardines diseñados geométricamente, decorados con flores perennes y nardos en macetas que se pueden cambiar todos los días para que haya flor siempre.
Siempre he pensado que los franceses están dotados de un sentido especialmente exquisito para las cosas delicadas.

Kristina, desde su blog kris atomic, comparte estas imágenes, tomadas en uno de sus viajes recientes a Versailles.

I would say that my personal style is the opposite to the Baroque, but I'm definitely in love with The Grand Trainon, a less heavy Baroque than the Versailles Palace, and extremely feminine. The pink marble building is surrounded by gardens designed geometrically, and decorated with perennials flowers and tuberoses potted that can change daily.
I always thought that French people are endowed with an exquisite sense for delicate things.

THE BATHROOM

Grandes ventanales, mármol de Carrara en paredes y techo, y espejos viselados le dan una opulencia de lo más simple a este baño. ¿Qué os parece la grifería de estilo antiguo fijada en el espejo? ¿y la de la bañera hecha a medida en mármol? La idea del mueble en espejo es de lo más chic. Para contrarrestar tanta opulencia, pocos objetos y otros tan espartanos como un banquito de madera...Un sueño de baño.

Large windows, Carrara marble on walls and ceiling, and visel mirrors give a simple opulence to this bathroom. What about the old style faucet set in the mirror? And the other marble one in the bathtub? The idea of mirror furniture is always chic. In contrast to such opulence, the designer, Jorge Varela, has added few objects, and other so rustic as this vintage bench... A dreaming bath.

LIKE A CANDY: Nhow Hotel Berlin

Buenos días! En contraste con mi publicación de ayer sobre espacios rústicos, estos interiores, en cambio, invitan a lamer las paredes de cristal de colores como si fueran un caramelo, y comerse los asientos como tiernas nubes de azúcar. Pensareis que estoy un loca, pero eso es lo que me imáginé cuando ví estas imágenes por primera vez.

No se trata de una ultramoderna casa de caramelo sino del Hotel Nhow Berlin, del grupo español hotelero NH. El diseñador de tal explosión de color y líneas sinuosas no podía ser otro que el gran Karim Rashid, del que hay que reconocer su gran talento creativo.

Si os gusta el diseño y teneis prevista una visita a Berlín, añadid esto a vuestra lista.

Feliz (y dulce) jueves!

Morning! In contrast to my last post about rustic interiors, these, instead, invite me to lick the walls of stained glass like candies, and eat the tender seats like marshmallows. You'd think I'm a crazy, but that's what I figured when I saw these images for the first time.

It is not an ultramodern candy house but Nhow Hotel Berlin, of the Spanish hotel group NH. The designer of such an explosion of color and sinuous lines could not be other than the great creative talent Karim Rashid.

RUSTIC MINIMALISM

Bien podríamos decir que estos interiores llevan el sello de Axel Vervoordt. Es su hijo, Boris Vervoordt, quién ha heredado el estilo austero del anticuario belga y ha respetado totalmente la estructura original de su vivienda, en Amberes.

Por su belleza, he querido publicar sólo estas dos fotografías de toda la casa. El resto de los espacios de una austeridad monacal hacen resaltar antigüedades milenarias de Oriente, mobiliario de los años 60, así como fotografía contemporánea y arte de uno de mis artistas favoritos, y que tanto utiliza Vervoordt en sus decoraciones: Lucio Fontana.

"La pátina del tiempo es básica en una pieza, le dota de carácter y define su identidad. Yo siempre la respeto". Boris Vervoordt.

I could say that these interiors are the hallmark of Axel Vervoordt. Is his son, Boris Vervoordt, who has inherited the austere style of the Belgian anticuarian and has fully respected the original structure for his home, in Antwerp.
Because its beauty, I want to post only this two photographs of the entire house. The rest of the monastic austerity spaces enhances ancient Eastern antiques, 60's furniture, contemporary photography and art of one of my favorite artists, very used by Vervoordt: Lucio Fontana.

TRUSSARDI DONNA STORE: Quincoces-Dragò & Partners

AD este mes publica su lista 2012. En esta lista pone sobre el papel los 20 hits del próximo 2012 entre los que me llamó la atención el interiorista David López Quincoces. Afincado en Milán fundó Quincoces-Dragò & Partner, estudio de arquitectura y diseño especializado en tiendas de lujo, espacios públicos y residencias. Esta tienda de Trussardi mujer en Milán es sólo una muestra de sus proyectos, y he querido presentarla hoy, en ECLECchic, junto con la colección de otoño/invierno 2012 de la línea Tru Trussardi (ropa pensada para la ciudad con el estilo de Trussardi).

Lo que más me gusta del interior de la tienda es la calidez sofisticada, conseguida con tonos neutros y contrastada con metales dorados y otros materiales nobles como los mármoles, alfombras de piel y terciopelos de colores vivos en la tapicerías.

This month AD Spain publishes its list of 2012. This list puts on paper the next 20 hits of 2012. The interior designer David López Quincoces called my atention. Based in Milan founded Quincoces-Dragò & Partner, architecture and design studio specializing in luxury shops, public spaces and residences. This woman Trussardi store, in Milan, is just a sample of his projects, that I want to present along with the F/W Collection 2012 Tru Trussardi line (clothes designed for the city with Trussardi's style).

What I like about this interiors is the sophisticated warmth, achieved with neutral tones contrasting with gold metals other materials such as marble, leather carpets and colourful velvets for the upholstery.

Do not lose track of this young but too well prepared designer.

Es una buena forma empezar el día delante del ordenador con una taza caliente de café, sin preocuparte de que se quede frío. Onur Karaalioglu ha inventado el sistema, basta una entrada de USB para tenerlo listo. Lo mejor es que esta taza la puedes calentar en cualquier lugar, tiene un indicador de calor en el logo y además se puede lavar. Sorprendente y bonito.

ALGO QUE FESTEJAR: ANIVERSARIO & SORTEO !

SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE: ANNIVERSARY & GIVEAWAY !

Finalmente, celebramos cumpleaños en EclecChic, queridos lectores!! Estoy feliz porque ha sido un año con un montón de satisfacciones así que esto hay que festejarlo a lo grande. Bueno... en realidad fue en agosto el cumple pero, "meaculpa", me he demorado en la preparación del mismo. He pensado que noimporta cuando lo celebramos si la dicha es buena.

Para este aniversarioquería hacer un regalo-sorteo único, hecho por mí misma y que estuviera basado en el tema principal de mi blog, es decir la decoración. Asíque nada mejor que arte para vuestra casa. Hace algunas semanas os hablaba de este sorteo (clic, clic) sobre el que os he tenido en ascuassin dar más pistas. Pido perdón pero creedme que he esperado a tenerbuena luz en casa para sacar algunas fotografías del cuadro (menuda excusa). Para esta obra me he inspirado en la del genialEduardo Chillida, artista al que admiro, y le he dado una interpretaciónmuy sencilla y personal. Lo he hecho con todo mi cariño por lo que espero que os guste.

El cuadro está realizado sobre lienzo rígido, en pintura acrílica con aplicaciones de láminas de metal dorado. Es la primera vez que pruebo esta técnica, así que es un poco experimentación. Las medidas son de 25 x 25 cm.

I am happy, dear readers. Finally, we celebrate anniversary on EclecChic! A year with many satisfactions so this must be celebrated grandly. Well ... the birthday was actually in August but, it's my fault, have delayed in the preparation.

For this anniversary I wanted to offer an original gift made by myself and that was based on the main theme of my blog: Decor. So nothing better than art for your home. Some weeks ago I talked about this giveaway (click, click) which I have been on tenterhooks. I apologize but believe me that I've waited to have a good lighting at home to get some photos of the picture (excuses...). For this artwork I was inspired by the genius of Eduardo Chillida, an artist that I admire. I've tried to give a very simple and personal interpretation. It is maken with all my love so I hope you like it.

The picture is made on stiff canvas, with acrilic painting and sheet applications of gold foil. It's the first time I try this technique, so it's an experimentation. The measures are 25 x 25 cm.

DESPUÉS DE LA OSCURIDAD...

AFTER DARK...

Buenos días. ¿Fuisteis de los que celebrasteis la noche de Halloween?! Si es así, espero que la hayais disfrutado y tengais alguna anécdota especial que contar! Yo personalmente, y supongo que por la cultura en la que he sido educada, no soy de celebrar esta fiesta, cada vez más extendida en Europa. La noche del lunes nos fuimos a tomar el aperitivo a Como, Italia, esperando ver mucha acción. El caso es que había mucha fiesta Halloween anunciada pero nadie en la calle y poca gente en los locales. Sigo pensando que esto está ideado para los niños, que son quienes de verdad lo disfrutan, por aquello de disfrazarse y frivolizar con monstruos y fantasmas.

Mi primero de Noviembre ha sido un día más familiar. Bueno, lo pasamos mi chico y yo juntos. Supongo que los que vivimos en algún punto lejano a nuestras raíces necesitamos de vez en cuando sentirnos cerca y no olvidar de dónde venimos, así que me gusta recordar a la familia y fallecidos allegados.

Después de ver inspiraciones fantasmagóricas y halloweeneras hasta la saciedad en los días pasados (aunque siempre me resultan divertidas) he decidido que ya está bien de tanto negro y hoy toca pasar al color. Sí, soy de contrastes, como mi carácter. Me lo dice de vez en cuando mi chico y leo entre líneas que no resulta fácil estar a mi lado...

Good morning. Did you celebrate Halloween night?! If so, I hope you have enjoyed it and have some special story to tell! I personally, and I suppose by the culture in which I was educated, am not celebrating this holiday, more and more widespread in Europe.

On Monday night we went to Como, Italy, for dinner. I expected to see much action but even though there was much Halloween party heralded, there was no people. I still think that Halloween is designed for children, who really enjoy dress up and play down monsters and ghosts.

My first of November has been a family day. Well, my boyfriend and I spent together. I guess people that like me live somewhere far from our roots occasionally need to feel close and do not forget where we came from, so I like to remind the family and dead relatives.

After seeing ghostly and halloween inspirations in recent days (that I always find funny), I decided that dark is enough and today we move on to color. Yes, I have a contrast character.

This photography about six of the leading supermodels of the history has caught my attention, perhaps because of the composition, the costumes, the colors, the beauty of these women (I would say ALL). LAVANDA WALLS & AFTER BIRTHDAY

Muchas gracias por toooodas vuestra felicitaciones. Reconozco que no me gusta cumplir años (peor es no cumplirlos), pero recibir felicitaciones me hace taaanta ilu... Lo más importante para mí es que pude compartir este día tan especial con la persona que amo. Los "molleaux au chocolat" que, aunque tengo que aprender un truquillo sobre la cocción, quedaron deliciosos. Suaves y no dulces en exceso. (Si teneis curiosidad en probar la receta no dudeis en mandarme un email).

Eso sí los pronósticos climatológicos se cumplieron ayer y la lluvia no dió tregua ni un sólo minuto. Escuchad bien este consejo: Nunca intenteis disfrutar de la ciudad de la moda con lluvia, NUNCA. Aquí queda dicho.

Thank you very much for your sweeeet comments! I acknowledge that I do not like birthdays but the birthday greetings always make me sooo happy... The most important thing for me is that I could share my special day with the person I love. The "molleaux au chocolat" which, although I have to learn a trick on the cooking, were delicious. Very soft and no sweet in excess. (If you are curious about the recipe do not hesitate to send me an email).

On the other hand yesterday the weather forecasts were met and the rain did not yield truce. Listen well this advice: never try to enjoy the city of fashion a rainy day, EVER.

ALGO QUE CELEBRAR

SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE

Siguiendo con la racha de celebraciones (click, click) hoy toca a nosotras! Me lo he tenido muy calladito, y no por nada en especial, pero ya no me queda más remedio que anunciarlo a bombo y platillo. HOY, queridos lectores, es nuestro CUMPLEAÑOS! Sí, no me he equivocado en lo de "nuestro" porque mi hermana gemela y yo cumplimos 33 primaveras. Ahí es nada. Para los que no lo sabíais tengo una hermana gemela (y un hermano, pero las homenajeadas hoy somos nosotras) cual gota de agua. Y por favor, que a nadie se le ocurra preguntar si nos cambiábamos los exámes en el cole o si sentimos las mismas cosas. He oido estas cuestiones demasiadas veces... No, nunca hicimos grandes picias y no, no tenemos telepatía, aunque el estar mucho tiempo juntas hiciera que a veces sí lo pareciese. Desde aquí un besote para mi hermanita que, al igual que yo, vive fuera de España, en Italia.

Hoy pasaré el día en Milán con mi chico. Se anuncian lluvias, lo que es lo mismo a WARNING!, altas probabilidades de excederme en el shopping. Por suerte (o no) lo de comprar también le gusta a Thomas.

Después de una jornada en la capital de la moda y de vuelta a casa celebraremos con unos "molleaux au chocolat" de postre, que sustituirán la típica tarta y que he hecho por primera vez. El peligro ya está cocinado, y de hecho huele a delicioso chocolate en toda la casa, así que ya no hay vuelta atrás. Sobre el veredicto de esta receta ya os informaré.

Following the spate of events (click, click) today is our day! I've had very quietly, not for any special reason, but I have no choice that to announce with great fanfare. TODAY, dear readers, it's our BIRTHDAY! Yes, I wasn't wrong in "our" because my twin sister and I turn 33 summers. That's nothing. For who didn't know I have a twin (and a brother, but today we both are the honored) like a drop of water. Please, no one think to ask if we changed the exam at school or if we feel the same things. I have answered to these questions many times. No, we never cheat in the school and no, we haven't got telepathy. From here a big kiss to my sister who, like me, lives outside Spain, in Italy.
Today I will spend the day in Milan with my boyfriend. Rains are announced, which means WARNING!, high probability of exceeding the shopping. Luckily (or not) Thomas also likes shopping.
After a day in the fashion city and back home we will celebrate with some "molleaux au chocolat" for dessert, which will replace the typical cake and have done for the first time. The danger is already cooked, and, in fact, a delicious chocolate smell throughout the house, so there is no turning back. I will let you know about the veredict of this recipe.

ZEN SUNDAY

¿Qué tal vuestro fin de semana? Ya os comenté el sábado que el domingo iba a ser un día "zen". Sí, una sesión de 3 horas ininterrumpidas de yoga que finalizamos con un té caliente y unas deliciosas pastas de mantequilla y almendras (vale, devoré las pastas, pero es que 3 horas sin pausa son muchas horas...). Alargamos la compañía con un almuerzo y un paseo por el bosque en uno de esos típicos días soleados otoñales.

How about your weekend? I told you on Saturday that yesterday would be a "zen" day. I attended an extraordinary 3-hour session of yoga that end with a hot tea and some delicious butter biscuits (ok, I devoured the biscuits, but 3 hours without a break are many hours...). After that a lunch and a fabulous walk in the woods in one of those typical sunny autumn days.

GIRLY CONTEMPORARY

Ya ha empezado el fin de semana y no quiero dejar de desearos que sea estupendo. ¿Algo especial teneis preparado? Mañana me tomaré una sesión extraordinaria de hatha yoga a eso de las 9 de la mañana, que aunque tenga que madrugar, me apetece un montón. Ohmmmm.

Como compensación hoy me he levantado muy tarde, mejor no os digo la hora, pero sí que acabo de desayunar... Me encanta disfrutar de mi casa los fines de semana.

Y ¿qué os parece esta combinación de papeles de pared? Me quedo con la feminidad de estas imágenes. Precioso el juego de té.

The weekend has already started and and I don't want to stop wishing you it is wonderful. Is there something special you have planned? Tomorrow I will take an extraordinary session of hatha yoga at about 9 am. I can't wait to it even though I have to get up early. Ohmmmm.

Today I woke up too late as compensation, I will not tell you the hour, only that I've just taken the breakfast ... :-) I love to enjoy my home on weekend.

¿Cómo os habies quedado? Supongo que tan impresionados como yo cuando visto el proceso creativo me ha quedado claro que no se trata de unas maravillosas imágenes virtuales en 3D, si no de unos frescos hechos en papel y a mano, con delicadeza absoluta. Jo Lynn Alcor es la artista que ha realizado estas obras que ponen de relieve las cualidades de cada uno de los distintos champagnes de Perrier-Jouët.

I guess you are so impressed as I was when saw the creative process I discovered that these wonderful 3D images aren't virtual. This "real" hand-made paper frescoes, of absolute finesse, are created by Jo Lynn Alcor for Perrier-Jouët. The artis has designed five works that correspond with the champagne-maker’s five, distinct cuvees, and the qualities and flavor notes found in each.

Aquí estoy con la continuación de la serie Caracolas, Piedras & Mario Testino. ¿Qué cómo surgió? Quise tomar unas fotos del interior del libro recordando la famosisíma exposición Todo o Nada, la cual tuve la gran suerte de visitar el año pasado, y la creatividad hizo el resto. Que si unas caracolas por aquí, unas piedras por allá.... Sí , lo admito, me vuelven loca las piedras de colores llamativos, y todo tipo de objetos marinos que uso como detalles en decoración. Ya sabeis que siempre tengo que poner mi propia guinda decorativa...

Esta es una parte de la serie basada en algunas de mis fotos favoritasa sobre vestidos impresionantes. Testino, a parte de un gran fotógrafo es un gran artista y conocedor de la moda. La recreación de ambientes, como queda plasmado, la domina como nadie. ¿Qué os puedo decir de él que no sepamos ya?

I am back with the continuation of the Caracolas, Piedras & Mario Testino series. I wanted to remember my visit to the famous Todo o Nada exhibition, taking some pictures from the same named book, and creativity did the rest. Some shells here, some stones there.... Yes, I go crazy for gorgeous colored stones and all kind of marine objects which I use as decorative details. You know I have always put my own decorative icing...
This is a part of the series based on some of my favourites photos of stunning dresses. Testino, apart of a great photographer is a great artist and connoisseur of fashion. The recreation of environments, as is noted, he dominates it. What can I tell about him?

Buenos días y feliz lunes! ¿Qué tal vuestro "finde"? Puedo decir que estoy muy satisfecha con los resultados de unos pequeños trabajos que he desarrolado estos días de relax, siempre relacionados con el blog. Mi imaginación y la creatividad han dado, por fín, sus frutos. Creedme que para uno de ellos me rompí el coco hasta llegar a algo satisfactorio.

Good morning and happy Monday! How about your weekend? I can say that I am very satisfied with the results of two small works I've developed during these days off, both of them related to the blog. My imagination and creativity have finally paid off. Believe me that one of them broke my "coconut" to come up with something satisfactory.

These photos are an advance from my first work that I will publish in the coming days . A series of images on compositions of stones, shells and the book interior by Mario Testino, Todo o Nada: his famous exhibition to which I could attend last year in Madrid... And yes! the second work, of which I spoke here recently, is a giveaway that takes me many long time (perhaps too) for planning, and will come out here soon. HATHA YOGA

Por si no os lo había comentado hoy, miércoles, es mi segunda clase de yoga. Sí, este año he dejado de lado las sesiones de pilates, (deporte que me encanta y os lo recomiendo) para iniciarme en la antigua práctical oriental, concretamente en el Hatha Yoga. Para los que, como yo, es la primera vez que oís esta definición os lo voy a intentar explicar brevemente:

Su significado indica esfuerzo, obstinación,... El hatha yoga consiste en un ejercicio físico-gimnástico, o âsanas y ejercicios de control de la respiración (más propiamente el prâna, "aliento de vida"), o prânâyâma.

La práctica de hatha yoga pretende alcanzar el equilibrio psico-físico, una mayor conciencia de nuestros procesos vitales, fisiológicos y, en general, de nuestro cuerpo en todas sus partes. El modo de alcanzar este equilibrio y sabiduría es con la práctica constante y regular, y tened en cuenta que uno de los principios del yoga no es buscar resultados en la propias acciones (karma-yoga). Los beneficios llegan por sí mismos con la misma práctica sin peocuparse de los frutos. Sus beneficios más evidentes:

* mejora general del estado de salud

* más calma y concentración de habilidades

* mejora el tono muscular y la movilidad de las articulaciones
* regularización del peso corporal
* mayor vitalidad en la vejez

Decidme, ¿realizais algún deporte o práctica oriental que os haga sentir mejor?

Hi everyone! If I didn't mention before, today, Wednesday, is my second yoga class. Yes, this year I left out the pilates sessions (sport that I love and I recommend) to begin in this ancient Oriental practical, particularly in the Hatha Yoga. I'll try to explain it briefly, for all who, like me, is the first time we hear this definition:
Hata yoga means effort, persistence,... It is a physical-gymnastic exercise or âsanas and breath control (more properly the prâna, "breath of life"), or prânâyâma.

The practice of hatha yoga aims to achieve psycho-physical balance, greater awareness of our vital processes, physiological and, in general, of our body in all its parts. The way to achieve this balance and wisdom is the constant and regular practice, and be aware that one of the principles of yoga is not looking for results in its actions (karma-yoga). The benefits come on their own with the same practice, without to worry of fruits. Its most obvious benefits:

* General improvement of health status
* more calm and concentration skills
* improves muscle tone and joint mobility
* regularization of body weight
* greater vitality in old age

MONDAY MORNING

Buenos días a todos! ¿qué tal vuestro fin de semana? Reconozco que no he hecho nada de particular a parte de tomar algunas fotos e instalar mi nuevo paquete de internet super veloz + llamadas gratis (también al extranjero) + 197 canales nuevos de TV. Sí, esto de tener tantos canales parece estupendo, aunque acabaré zapenando entre 5 favoritos. Creí que no iba a ser capaz de instalarlo sola - vale mi novio me ha dado unos consejos para la configuración de la tele -, pero parece que la tecnología yo estamos haciendo amistades..., y no nos llevamos nada mal.

I have not done anything special apart to take some photos at home and to install my new package of super fast internet + free calls (also abroad) + 197 new TV channels. Yes, this last sounds good, but I know will zapping between 5 favorites. I thought it would not be able to install it alone, - ok my boyfriend gave me some tips for setting up the TV - and I fell that it is borning a nice friendship between the technology and me...

NEW SEASON: Lexington Company

Empiezan esos días en los que cuando me despierto sólo me apetece quedarme hasta tarde en la cama. Mmmm... tapada hasta la orejas con mi edredón de pluma. Luego prepararme tranquilamente un brunch, más conocido como almuerzo abundante a base de variados y pequeños platos (hábito poco usado en España que se va extendiendo cada vez más)... E ir improvisando un poco el resto de la jornada. Tal y como suena parece más bien un día de domingo.

Desde que conocí la ropa de casa de Lexington, hace ya algunos años en este showromm en el que trabajé, me volví una fan incondicional de sus tejidos (os aseguro que el popelín es una gozada al tacto) y de su estilo tan american lifestyle (oh, lo adoro). El precio se escapa a mi bolsillo, pero el catálogo gratuito de cada temporada no :-)...

Are coming these days that I wake up and just want to stay in bed until late. Mmmm ... ears plugged up with my down comforter. Then quietly preparing a brunch and improvising the rest of the day. Well, it sounds like a relaxing Sunday day.
Since I discovered the Lexington linen, some years ago in this showromm where I worked, I became a fan of their tissues (its poplin is a pleasure to touch) and his philosophy so american lifestyle ( oh, I love it). The price shall escape my economy, but not the every free season catalog :-)...

Hoy, en el blog de Maca, he descubierto una publicación sobre el atelier, en Madrid, de Helena Mareque, diseñadora de vestidos nupciales, y que, confieso mi ignorancia, no conocía. Me encanta el estilo de sus vestidos de aire de princios de siglo, y tan diferente a los que suelo ver en internet. El atelier, igual de romántico, y adaptado en este piso antiguo, resulta un lugar perfecto, entre vivienda y estudio, donde trabajar. ¿No os parece inspirador? Mareque tiene además su blog Ejercicios de Estilo para no perder ni un sólo día la inspiración en lo que a bodas se refiere.

I love the beginning century air of their dresses, so different than I usually see on the internet. The atelier, just as romantic, and adapted in an old apartment is a perfect place to work, between home and studio. Don't you think inspiring? Para destacar objetos con personalidad propia nada mejor que un fondo claro o neutro como veis en este rincón. Me encanta el equilibrio conseguido. Cada pieza, incluídos libros, tiene su protagonismo sin estorbarse. En realidad son objetos simples (vale, a excepción de esta escultura colgante tan original) que destacan por sus colores "pop". ¿Qué os parece?

To highlight objects nothing better than a white or neutral background as this image suggests. I love the balance achieved. Each piece, including books, has its role without hindrance. They are really simple objects (ok, except for the hanging original sculpture) distinguished by their "pop" colors. What do you think?

Parece que las temperaturas veraniegas continuan, cosa que me encanta y agradezco, pero con eso de que anochece mucho antes la tendencia es cobijarnos al calor del hogar y pensar en tomar un té caliente y cubrirnos con una mantita los pies. qué gustito verdad? It seems that the summer temperatures continue, which I love and appreciate, but it gets dark much earlier so we tend to shelter in the warmth of home and think about a hot tea and a blanket on our feet... Ladurée + Lampe Berger

Si algo tienen en común Ladurée y Lampe Berger es la delicadeza de sus productos y que han cumplido más de 100 años desde su creación. Así que hoy os voy a hablar brevemente de estas dos marcas y sus productos:

Ladurée, que inicialmente era una panadería (1862), pasó a ser una pastelería en menos de 10 años, y a principios del S. XX sacó a la venta su más famosa creación: los Macarons. Cada temporada Ladurée crea un nuevo sabor de macarons teniendo en cuenta, no sólo el delicado sabor, si no también la gama de colores. Adoro los "colores Ladurée"... Por otro lado Lampe Berger fue creado en 1898 por Maurice Berger para sanear la habitaciones de los hospitales y en los años 30 la marca añadió la fragancia. Con el tiempo las lámparas Lampe Berger adquirieron unos diseños decorativos particulares que las hacen muy preciadas todavía hoy, y famosos como Pablo Picasso ya la usaban por aquel entonces. Hoy en día los productos de Lampe Berger no sólo mantienen sucaracterística de limpiar el aire si no la de perfumar rápida yhomgeneamente. Como fragancia de Lampe Berger yo os recomiendo "Pluie d'etè", sin duda my favorita. (Para saber más clicad en el Mundo Lampe Berger y Productos)

If there is something in common between Ladurée and Lampe Berger is the delicacy of its products and that they were created more than 100 years ago. So today I am going to talk briefly about these two brands and their products:
Ladurée, originally a bakery (1862), became a pastry shop in less than 10 years, and early S. XX it released its most famous creation: the Macarons. Each new season Ladurée creates a new flavour of macarons, taking into account not only the delicate flavour, but also the range of colors. I adore the "Ladurée colours"... Lampe Beger was created in 1898 by Maurice Berger to purify the air in hospital wards and in the 30's the brand added the fragrance. Over time, the Lampe Berger lamps have acquired a particular decorative design that make them highly prized even today, and famous as Pablo Picasso used it also then. Today Lampe Berger products not only maintain its property to clean the air also give a long-lasting and homogeneous perfume. As fragrance I recommend "Pluie d'etè", no doubt is my favorite. Buenosdías! ¿que tal vuestro fin de semana? He estado ocupada intentandopreparar un regalo para un futuro sorteo en Eclecchic, y digo"intentando" porque el resultado final no fue de mi satisfacción. Elintento quedó frustrado, pero no voy a tirar la toalla tan facilmente,así que vosotros, lectores, tendreis lo que os mereceis tarde otemprano... (esto no debería sonar amenazante). Y es que cuando unapiensa en hacer algo con sus propias manos (sí, con mis propias manos ylo llevo planeando algún tiempo), pues ya sabeis,... se lía la manta ala cabeza y al final me pregunto si no será más fácil dejar lacreatividad para otros y pasar a algo de realización más sencilla.

Bueno,sin querer dar pistas vamos a la imagen que nos ocupa yque no tiene nada que ver con el sorteo. Es, perfectamente, un mensaje de que el buendiseño está también en las cosas más sencillas. Encuentro ideal el botede mermelada, Bonne Maman, como recipiente para la vieja cubertería heredada. Hay recipientes que una vez vacíos es una lástima tirarlos, verdad?

Goodmorning! How about your weekend? I've been busy trying to prepare agift for a future giveaway in Eclecchic, and I say "trying" because theend result was not to my satisfaction. The attempt was frustrated, butI will not give up so easily, so you, readers, will have what youdeserve sooner or later... (This should not sound threatening). Whenone thinks about doing something with her hands (yes, with my own handsand planning took me some time), you know... Sometimes things getcomplicated and at the end I wonder if it won't be easier to leave thecreativity to others and move to something simpler realization.

APARTMENT ON SALE + STREET STYLE

Como no he publicado en los dos últimos días quiero compartir con vosotros un doble post de moda + interiorismo. Nam de Streetfsn ha salido cámara en mano por NYC y ha fotografiado ideas de estilo en la calle, todas diferentes y que marcan la personalidad del que lo lleva. Muy inspirador...

Per Jansson es la inmobiliaria sueca que se ocupa de la venta de este y otros maravillosos apartamentos. Techos abovedados, suelos originales de madera en espiga, chimeneas en varias estancias, habitaciones amplias y suficiente espacio para hacer 3 cuartos de baño y un aseo describen el piso que veis. Pero lo que me chifla especialmente son las molduras que lo decoran y esas paredes tan blancas que hacen que los interiores sean todavía más grandes. Este apartamento me sugiere un tipo de decoración muy moderna, con escasos muebles, toques vintage y unas pocas obras de arte que destaquen en esas deseadas paredes. ¿Qué os parece a vosotros?

Per Jansson is a Swedish real estate deals with the sale of this and other wonderful apartments. Vaulted ceilings, original wooden herringbone flooring, fireplaces in several rooms, spacious rooms and enough space for 3 bathrooms and a toilet describe the apartment that you see. I am particularly crazy for the decorative moldings and that white walls that make the interiors are even greater. This apartment suggests to me a very modern décor, with few pieces of furniture, vintage touches and some artworks that stand out in these wished walls. What do you think?

THE LAST SPRITZ

Buenos dìas! ¿Qué tal fin de semana habeis tenido? Los planes de ir a casa de mi hermana a Italia se cancelaron así que no tardamos en hacernos con otro. Nos decidimos por Constanza, preciosa ciudad del Bodensee a una distancia prudencial como para ir y volver en el día. Un viaje de vuelta sin parar de llover y un domingo pasado por agua y frío me han recordado que oficialmente el verano a finalizado, y que hace menos de una semana yo estaba disfrutando de mi último spritz refrescante al lado del lago.

Es unafijación que tengo la de compilar fotos donde aparezcan molduras decorativas, y si la moldura en cuestión está inspirada por motivosarquitectónicos o vegetales caer en la tentación de guardarla en millenísima carpeta de imágenes (blogueros, ya sabeis a lo que merefiero) es peligrosamente inevitable. Os muestro algunas de misfavoritas "coleccionadas" hasta ahora y vereis más en futuras publicaciones. ¿Qué os parecen?, ¿teneisfijación por algún elemento estético?

Ihave the obsession to compile pictures where decoratives moldingsappear. Si hace unos días, en UNA VIVIENDA DE PORTADA: Pablo Paniagua, os presentaba unos interiores que mantenían religiosamente el estilo clasicista del edificio hoy publico los interiores casi futuristas del hotel EL PALAUET Living Barcelona, integrados magistralmente en un edificio modernista de 1906, en Barcelona. Por lo que cuentan está creado para que los huéspedes imaginen que es su casa, al menos durante los días de estancia en este casi irreal lugar.

Damas y caballeros, pasen... y sueñen.

If Some days ago in A COVER APARTMENT: Pablo Paniagua I showed an interior which extremly kept the classic style of its building, today I publish almost futuristic interiors from the EL PALAUET Living Barcelona hotel, masterfully designed in a modernist building from 1906 in Barcelona. Seems that it was created for guests to imagine that it is their home, at least during the staying days in this dreaming place.

Ornamentos decorativos, tonos pastel y la delicadeza con que todo ello está elaborado pueden aunar alta costura y confitería... dos cosas que aparentemente nada tienen que ver. ¿Qué os parece esta combinación de vestidos presentados por la Maison Dior y estas tartas de influencia barroca? A mí me resulta irresistible!

Cuando descubrí a Pablo Paniagua auguré que tendría una gran futuro como interiorista y no hace muchos os hablaba de su talento en Joven Prodigio: Pablo Paniagua. Este mes la revista Nuevo Estilo ha confirmado mis sospechas publicando en su portada este fabuloso apartamento en Madrid diseño del decorador. Yo no creo tener un radar especial para los talentos pero la belleza existe y cuando los espacios creados son armoniosos no se puede discutir. Ni que decir tiene que la calidad de acabados y materiales lo es todo y eso salta a la vista en los interiores de Paniagua. No le perdais la pista ...

Para el diseño de este apartamento fue fundamental para el interiorista y su equipo respetar la arquitectura clasicista del edificio, de finales del S. XIX. Igualmente se hizo uso de materiales cercanos a los originales como: piedra en los baños, panelados de madera en el salón y el comedor, y entelados en pasillos y dormitorios. Sobre una base de colores neutra obras de arte de diferentes épocas, muebles antiguos y otras piezas diseñadas especialmente para esta vivienda conviven en armonía manteniendo su justo protagonismo. Nada del proyecto quedó al azar y el resultado es un confortable interior clásico muy sofisticado.

When I discovered Pablo Paniagua I predicted that he would have a great future as an interior designer and not long go I wrote about his talent on Young Prodigy: Pablo Paniagua. This month the Nuevo Estilo magazine has confirmed my suspicions by publishing on its cover this fabulous apartment in Madrid designed by Paniagua. I haven't got a special radar to capture talents but the beauty exists and harmonious spaces can not be discussed. Needless to say that the quality of finishes and materials is everything and that is obvious in the Paniagua's interiors. Do not lose his track ...
The main point for designing this apartment was the classical architecture of the building and the use of materials close to the original: stone in bathrooms, wood paneling in the living room and dining room and scrim for hallways and bedrooms. Works of art from different periods, antique furniture and other pieces specially designed for these spaces live in harmony while maintaining their rightful prominence. Nothing in this project was random and the result is a comfortable classic interior very sofisticated.

SEPTEMBER IN IBIZA

Hola a todos! Qué tal vuestro fin de semana? Antes de nada quiero agradecer vuestras visitas durante mi ausencia y un especial agradecimiento a mis amigas blogueras Lisa y Christel por dedicarme su tiempo en preparar unos fabulosos guest post para mí (clicar aquí y aquí). Como seguidora desde hace tiempo de sus maravillosas publicaciones me siento muy honrada de su participación en Eclecchic. Gracias chicas!

A juzgar por estas imágenes cualquiera diría que me resisto a que el verano acabe, verdad? Pues sí, pero es que el verano en Ibiza parece continuar para fortuna de todos los que estén o hayamos estado recientemente allí. Han sido unas vacaciones estupendas con Thomas y aquí os muestro algunas de las pocas fotos que he tomado. La iglesita que veis pertenece a San Carlos, uno de mis pueblos favoritos en ibiza, muy cerca del apartamento de Tom, y que había pasado desapercibida para mí hasta ahora después de varios años de visita anual (no tengo perdón). El resto de imágenes corresponden a Cala Nova, a la que siempre accedemos por un encantador bosquecito. ¿Alguien está pensando en retomar unas vacaciones?

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? First of all I want to thank your visits in my absence and a special thanks to my blog friends Lisa and Christel for their time dedicated to me for creating fabulous guest posts (click here and here). As a long time fan of their wonderful blogs I feel very honored for their participation on Eclecchic. Thanks girls!
Judging by these images you may think I resist that summer is over. Summer in Ibiza seems to continue fortunately for all who are or have been recently there. It has been a great holiday with Thomas and here I show some of the few photos I've taken. The little church that you see belongs to San Carlos, one of my favorite villages in Ibiza, very close to Tom's apartment. The rest of images are taken in Cala Nova, beach to which we always access by a lovely grove. Someone is considering taking a vacation again?

Me moría de ganas por preparar un collage de esos que tanto me caracterizan: interiores contemporáneos, un toque muy femenino y contraste de colores... Nada más chic que blanco + negro. A pesar de que estamos a finales de verano me permito una chispa de color ácido que me gustar tener presente para subir el ánimo. Estáis conmigo?

Hasta mi vuelta de vacaciones, es decir, la próxima semana, os deseo un feliz "finde" y comienzo de septiembre.

Hello there, this is Christel from Captivated by image. While most of us probably all have enjoyed a wonderful summer vacation in the past months, Maria was very smart with postponing and making her Summer endure longer by being on holiday right now! She asked me to guest post for her while she is relaxing in sunny, wonderful Ibiza. So well deserved. Of course I couldn’t say no, it’s an honor to be filling in for her. Not long after both of us started blogging it was one of my greatest blog delights to have discovered her gorgeous, inspirational outlet. She always shows us the very best!

Hello, I'm LatteLisa, honoured to be guest posting for María while she's relaxing with her boyfriend somewhere in a quiet spot in Ibiza. Enjoy your holiday girl!

What drew me to María's blog was definitely her sense of style. She digs up and posts these gorgeous interiors and sometimes adds maybe one fashion photo that changes the whole perspective and creates depth. I remember one post particularly that had, among others, a bedroom with a blue wall and María added a photo of an outfit, a gorgeous flowery skirt and a blue top that brought out the colour. Visiting her blog is a treat for the eyes, and the fact that she lives in Switzerland warms my heart because I lived there for a year when I was younger. In my guest post I'm taking you to Denmark, to a beautiful manor house in the island of Funen (Fyn). The elegance of the house and interiors simply reminded me of our stylish girl.

THE MEDITERRANEAN AWAITS ME

Estaba esperando estas breves vacaciones con mucha ansia y es que se han hecho esperar, nada más y nada menos que todo un verano... Como os comenté, la próxima semana estaré en Ibiza con Thomas quien ya me espera impaciente en la isla. Tres son los principales planes que ocuparán la semana: relajarnos, comer bien (cómo lo hecho de menos) y hacer deporte. Thomas es un loco de la canoa así que la idea de hacer deporte mientras disfrutamos del mar me tiene emocionada desde hace tiempo.

Estaré de vuelta en algo más de una semanita y durante mi ausencia nos os perdais más publicaciones entre los cuales habrá maravillosos posts invitados.

I was hoping these short vacation with great eagerness since I have been wishing it an entire summer... As I told you the next week I'll be in Ibiza with Thomas who already is awaiting me on the island. Three main plans will occupy the week: relax, good food (how I miss it) and sports. Thomas goes crazy by the canoe so the idea of playing sports while enjoying the sea has became so exciting to me in a while.

He tenido un flechazo con esta casa y creo que todo se debe a las sensaciones que ella desprende: me parece oir el rumor del agua de las fuentes y las ramas de los alcornoques centenarios acariciadas por la brisa. Puedo imaginar el perfume del césped recién cortado, el calor de los rayos de sol atravesando la ventana mientras me acomodo en un ricón de lectura al lado de la chimenea o sentir el frescor de un chapuzón matinal en la piscina... Uf! Todo esto sin moverme de delante del ordenador... Esta casa en el sur de España tiene un aura muy especial ¿Podeis imaginaros lo mismo que yo?

I had a crush on this house and I think everything is due to its feelings: I can hear the sound of fountain water and the branches of ancient oaks caressed by the breeze. I can imagine the scent of freshly cut grass, the warmth of the sunlight through the window as I settled for reading beside the fireplace or feel the freshness of a early dip in the pool ... Ugh! DECOR PACKAGING: Ladureè

Las influencias decorativas llegan a todas partes y Ladurée es un buen ejemplo de ello. ¿Qué os parece este diseño de packaging "haute couture" para poder guardar los tan conocidos macarons? Me encantan la influencia del papel de pared y los colores: turquesa con un estampado de hojas góticas doradas marcadas en un ligero bajorelieve y un interior todo en color oro. No se trata de una simple cajita es un estuche para dulces al que luego se me ocurre dar infinidad de aplicaciones.

Decorative influences reach everywhere and Ladurée is a good example. How about this packaging "haute couture" design to keep the well-known macarons? I love the wallpaper trend and colors: turquoise with a design of Gothic golden leaves marked bas-relief and an interior all in gold. This is not a simple box is a sweet case to wich I would give numerous applications.

Hola a todos! Por fín los días de calor han llegado, lo cual me hace creer que sí que estamos en verano... ¿Qué tal vuestro fin de semana? Ayer en la piscina me encontré que había un torneo de Volley playa a nivel mundial así que el resto de planes del día los sacrifiqué a cambio de no perderme la emocionante final.

Hi everyone. Hot days are arriving wich makes me believe that definitely we are in summer... How did your weekend go? Yesterday in the Lido I was surprised by a world beach volley competition that was held there so I left my rest of the Sunday plans for watching the exciting final.

TAKING THE RYTHM

Hola a todos! Ya de vuelta de mis breves vacaciones me toca coger el ritmo que confieso no me está costando mucho. Estaba mentalizada y eso que ha sido una semana estupenda de turismo por Colonia, conocer gente maravillosa, mucho jugar con niños y un poquito de tiempo para el descanso. Lo peor el tiempo: el otoño parecía que se había adelantado en pleno agosto y... oh, no! en mi maleta las opciones de vestimenta eran muy reducidas... ¿Qué tal vuestra semana?

Hello everyone! Once back from my short vacations I have to take the daily rythm. Fortunately it is not being too hard though it has been a wonderful week: visiting Cologne, meeting lovely people, playing a lot with children and a little time to relaxing. The worst thing: the weather. It seems the fall has arrived in the middle of August and... oh, no! in my suitcase the clothes options were really reduced...

RELAXING DAYS?

Hola a todos! Os espera algo emocionante este fin de semana? Empiezo mis vacaciones hoy, así que en cuanto acabe la jornada laboral cogemos carretera hasta Colonia para visitar la ciudad, conocer los parientes de Thomas y el sueño de cualquier niño: ir a Legoland! Durante toda la semana Carol no ha parado de preguntar cuántos días faltan para ir a Legoland y ahora yo estoy tan emocionada como ella.

Compromisos familiares, visitar lugares... Tal vez unas vacaciones no tan tranquilas y reflexivas como puedan inspirar estas fotos, pero estoy segura que me voy a divertir mucho. Estaré de vuelta el 16 de agosto, mientras tanto no dejeis de visitarme en EclecChic.

Hi everyone! Are you preparing something special for the weekend? I start my vacations today so I can not wait to finish working and take the highway to Germany. We will go to Cologne for visiting the city, meeting Thomas' relatives and enjoying the dreaming of any kid: Legoland. During the week Carol did not stop asking when we will go to Legoland and now it is becoming also so exciting for me.

Places to visit, family commitments... Maybe not so relaxing and thoughtful as this images inspire but always funny. I am back on 16th August, in the meantime you can continue to visit me on EclecChic.

FILIGRANAS IMPECABLES

IMPECCABLE FILIGREE

No sabeis lo que me ha costado levantarme esta mañana... Ayer después del trabajo me fui a buscar a Thomas, Cris y Carol al lido. Jugamos en la piscina y nos lo pasamos bomba en una sesión de fotos con la cámara de Cris. Es sumergible y milagrosamente hace siempre una fotos estupendas (tal vez exagere...). Ya por la tarde mientras cocinaba y Cris intentaba echarme una mano con las croquetas Thomas bañaba a la más peque. Os podeis imaginar qué sucede cuando un niño "ayuda" en la cocina. Es la primera vez que me lanzo a hacer croquetas así que seguí la receta de mi madre y por suerte los pequeños paladares más exigentes quedaron satisfechos (uf!). Y ya sabeis lo que sigue...peli de La Sirenita y a dormir. Es genial cuando los horarios están organizados, el apartamento todavía ordenado y te sientes que has hecho un filigrana impecable.

It was hard to wake up this morning...Yesterday just when I finished at work I went to the lido to meet Thomas, Cris and Carol . We could play together and laugh in a shoot of photography. Cris' camera is fantastic, you can make photos under the water and the result is always fabulous. In the evening while I was cooking croquettes Thomas bathed Carol and Cris tried to give me a hand. You can imagine what happens when a kid "helps" you in the cooking. It is the first time I do croquettes so I decided to follow my mother's recipe. Fortunately it seemed that the small demanding palates were very satisfied (uf!). Then you know... Disney movie and got to bed. It is great when the schedule is organized, the apartment still tidy and you feel to have done an impecable feligree.

Hola a todos, ¿qué tal vuestro fin de semana? Ya sé que hoy es martes y llego con un día de retraso. Ayer fue fiesta nacional y este día Suiza celebra su independencia. En el centro de la ciudad hay puestos de salchichas y patatas y por la noche unos maravillosos fuegos artificiales desde el lago. Yo, en cambio, no pude ir al centro a comer tan suculento y sano manjar y estuve en casa todo el día limpiando y cocinando. Lo estaba dejando todo perfecto para cuando llegara mi novio con sus dos hijas, Cristina y Carolina, que vienen a pasar dos semanas de sus vacaciones. Son una monada, con mucha imaginación a las que les pirra pintar y jugar con todos sus Playmobils. De hecho estoy empezando a pensar si era necesario limpiar tan a fondo el apartamento.....

Hice estos dibujos una tarde de otoño de 2009 como regalo para sus 7° y 3° cumple como retrato de cada una. Cris es una soñadora, a la que le encanta imaginar aventuras. Carol, por el contrario es muy observadora y un poco bicho...

Hello everybody, how does your weekend go? Yes, I arrive one day later but yesterday was national holiday here. This day Switzerland celebrates its independece and you can eat lot of swiss sausages with potatos and see the fireworks from the lake in the night. I could not go to the downtown to eat such a healthy and good dish, I was at home cleaning and cooking instead. I was waiting for my boyfriend and his two sweet daughters, Cristina and Carolina who come to spend their holidays with me. They two are so cute and imaginatives girls and love drawing, painting and playing with all of their Playmobil. In fact now I am thinking if it was necessary to clean thoroughly the apartment.....

These ilustrations were made by me an Autum evening of 2009 for their 7th and 3th birthday as a portrait of them and their personality. Cris is a dreamer and always is painting and imagining adventures. Carol, instead, is curious and a bit naughty. I love them.

A CHIC SUMMER GIRL

Buenos días a todos! Hoy estoy especialmente contenta porque he tenido el placer de ser invitada por primera vez a publicar un post, en este caso, por mi querida amiga bloguera Christel que tiene la gran suerte de estar disfrutando de unas merecidas vacaciones. Ella es la autora de Captivated by Image, blog que sigo con pasión desde sus inicios por ser un ejemplo de estilo y belleza. Christel es siempre tan chic en sus publicaciones diarias que no podía ser menos a la hora de elegir su destino de vacaciones: La Costa Azul! Pero que envidia!

De vacaciones o no me han venido a la cabeza algunas simples propuestas para hacer nuestra vida más chic. ¿Por qué no? Como por ejemplo que no falten flores frescas en tu escritorio, cuelga una obra de arte contemporánea en tu pared (has probado a hacerla tu misma?), átate ese pañuelo vintage a modo de turbante para protegerte del sol -y un bañador retro como las estrella de hollywood de los 50!-, mete una pieza de mobiliario de autor en tu salón (aceptamos también imitaciones, que son mucho más económicas), -¿qué tal esta silla Barcelona?-, y por supuesto que no falte un toque de color extra ácido en tu vida para romper y subirte el ánimo.

Good morning everyone! Today I am especially excited because I had the pleasure of being invited, for the first time, to do a guest post to my dear blog friend Christel, who has the good fortune of enjoying a well deserved holiday. She is the author of Captivated by Image, a blog that I follow with passion from the beginning for being an example of style and beauty. Christel is always chic in her daily posts so she could not be less when choosing her holiday destination: The wonderful Côte d'Azur! Oh lalà!
On holiday or not I am thinking some simple suggestions to make our lives more chic. Why don't you? As such, do not miss to put fresh flowers on your desk; hang a contemporary artwork on your wall (have you tried to do it yourself?); tie that vintage scarf like a turban to protect from the sun - and wear a retro swimsuit like the 50's celebrities! -; get a piece of design furniture in your living room (imitations are cheaper) - what about this Barcelona chair? -; and certainly do not forget a touch of color extra acid in your life to raise your mood.
I leave the door open to your suggestions ... What about them?

CALIDEZ EN 65 m2

WARMTH IN 65 m2

A mí me parece que la casa es mucho más grande de 65 m2 pero cuando los espacios están bien aprovechados este es el resultado. Ese debió ser el propósito de la decoradora Miluca Armengol y lo consiguió. En cuanto a la decoración nada recargada y muy elegante. El toque de contraste con este ambiente cálido ha sido la cocina de aire más sofisticado, por cierto de Ikea, con todos sus electrodomésticos encastrados. Preciosa! ¿Os habeis fijado que no hay ni un cuadro en las paredes? A decir verdad tampoco se hechan de menos.
It seems that that apartment is much larger than 65 m2 but when the spaces are well utilized this is the result. That should be the purpose of the designer Miluca Armengol and she got it. As for the décor uncluttered and elegant. The touch of contrast to the warm atmosphere was the kitchen, by Ikea, with all its embedded appliances. Beautiful! Have you noticed that there is not any artwork on the walls?
