Es una buena forma empezar el día delante del ordenador con una taza caliente de café, sin preocuparte de que se quede frío. Onur Karaalioglu ha inventado el sistema, basta una entrada de USB para tenerlo listo. Lo mejor es que esta taza la puedes calentar en cualquier lugar, tiene un indicador de calor en el logo y además se puede lavar. Sorprendente y bonito.

Finalmente, celebramos cumpleaños en EclecChic, queridos lectores!! Estoy feliz porque ha sido un año con un montón de satisfacciones así que esto hay que festejarlo a lo grande. Bueno... en realidad fue en agosto el cumple pero, "mea culpa", me he demorado en la preparación del mismo. He pensado que no importa cuando lo celebramos si la dicha es buena.

Para este aniversario quería hacer un regalo-sorteo único, hecho por mí misma y que estuviera basado en el tema principal de mi blog, es decir la decoración. Así que nada mejor que arte para vuestra casa. Hace algunas semanas os hablaba de este sorteo (clic, clic) sobre el que os he tenido en ascuas sin dar más pistas. Pido perdón pero creedme que he esperado a tener buena luz en casa para sacar algunas fotografías del cuadro (menuda excusa). Para esta obra me he inspirado en la del genial Eduardo Chillida, artista al que admiro, y le he dado una interpretación muy sencilla y personal. Lo he hecho con todo mi cariño por lo que espero que os guste.

El cuadro está realizado sobre lienzo rígido, en pintura acrílica con aplicaciones de láminas de metal dorado. Es la primera vez que pruebo esta técnica, así que es un poco experimentación. Las medidas son de 25 x 25 cm.

I am happy, dear readers. Finally, we celebrate anniversary on EclecChic! A year with many satisfactions so this must be celebrated grandly. Well ... the birthday was actually in August but, it's my fault, have delayed in the preparation.

For this anniversary I wanted to offer an original gift made by myself and that was based on the main theme of my blog: Decor. So nothing better than art for your home. Some weeks ago I talked about this giveaway (click, click) which I have been on tenterhooks. I apologize but believe me that  I've waited to have a good lighting at home to get some photos of the picture (excuses...). For this artwork I was inspired by the genius of Eduardo Chillida, an artist that I admire. I've tried to give a very simple and personal interpretation. It is maken with all my love so I hope you like it.

The picture is made on stiff canvas, with acrilic painting and sheet applications of gold foil. It's the first time I try this technique, so it's an experimentation. The measures are 25 x 25 cm.

DESPUÉS DE LA OSCURIDAD...

AFTER DARK...

Buenos días. ¿Fuisteis de los que celebrasteis la noche de Halloween?! Si es así, espero que la hayais disfrutado y tengais alguna anécdota especial que contar! Yo personalmente, y supongo que por la cultura en la que he sido educada, no soy de celebrar esta fiesta, cada vez más extendida en Europa. La noche del lunes nos fuimos a tomar el aperitivo a Como, Italia, esperando ver mucha acción. El caso es que había mucha fiesta Halloween anunciada pero nadie en la calle y poca gente en los locales. Sigo pensando que esto está ideado para los niños, que son quienes de verdad lo disfrutan, por aquello de disfrazarse y frivolizar con monstruos y fantasmas.

Mi primero de Noviembre ha sido un día más familiar. Bueno, lo pasamos mi chico y yo juntos. Supongo que los que vivimos en algún punto lejano a nuestras raíces necesitamos de vez en cuando sentirnos cerca y no olvidar de dónde venimos, así que me gusta recordar a la familia y fallecidos allegados.

Después de ver inspiraciones fantasmagóricas y halloweeneras hasta la saciedad en los días pasados (aunque siempre me resultan divertidas) he decidido que ya está bien de tanto negro y hoy toca pasar al color. Sí, soy de contrastes, como mi carácter. Me lo dice de vez en cuando mi chico y leo entre líneas que no resulta fácil estar a mi lado...

Good morning. Did you celebrate Halloween night?! If so, I hope you have enjoyed it and have some special story to tell! I personally, and I suppose by the culture in which I was educated, am not celebrating this holiday, more and more widespread in Europe. 

On Monday night we went to Como, Italy, for dinner. I expected to see much action but even though there was much Halloween party heralded, there was no people. I still think that Halloween is designed for children, who really enjoy dress up and play down monsters and ghosts. 

My first of November has been a family day. Well, my boyfriend and I spent together. I guess people that like me live somewhere far from our roots occasionally need to feel close and do not forget where we came from, so I like to remind the family and dead relatives.

After seeing ghostly and halloween inspirations in recent days (that I always find funny), I decided that dark is enough and today we move on to color. Yes, I have a contrast character.

Para acabar la semana seguimos con más fotografía y moda. La tercera y última parte de la serie Caracolas, Piedras & Mario Testino os la presento hoy (clic, clic, clic). Esta fotografía sobre seis de las top models más destacadas de la historia me ha llamado mucho la atención, tal vez por la composición, los vestidos, los colores, la belleza de estas mujeres (diría TODO). Ninguna de las seis magníficas, entre las que señalo a Cindy Crawford como mi absoluta favorita, pierden su protagonismo en esta imagen. ¿Tienes  alguna favorita de la historia de las tops?

For ending the week more about photography and fashion. I present today the third and last part of the Shells, Stones & Mario Testino series (click, click, click). This photography about six of the leading supermodels of the history has caught my attention, perhaps because of the composition, the costumes, the colors, the beauty of these women (I would say ALL). None of the six magnificent (Crawford Cindy is my absolute favorite) lost its leading role in this picture. Have you a favorite historic model?
