El uso de materiales como texturas o incluso obras de arte es esencial en un buen proyecto de decoración y esto lo sabe bien, entre otros Caroline Perrin, autora del libro Matières d'Exception y fundadora de la firma AC Matière, empresa de materiales para pared de alta gama. En el libro puedes encontrar encajes de madera, papel de acero, esculturas de hormigón, o bloques de vidrio para una pared. El repertorio es extensísimo y muy inspirador en sus 336 páginas. India Mahdavi, Guerlain o Harvey Nichols, entre otros la reclaman.

Recomendado, por supuesto, aunque su precio es alto, 130 €.

Inside her book you explore about wood laces, papers of steel, concrete sculptures, or glass blocks. The repertoire is extensive and very inspiring in its 336 pages. India Mahdavi, Guerlain or Harvey Nichols, among others claim her.

Bottega Veneta, la marca de lujo fundada en Vicenza, Italia, en 1966 ha editado su primer libro. La monografía está dedicada al universo de la marca y la artesanía de sus productos, símbolo de la excelencia italiana. Publicado por Rizzoli simultáneamente en Inglés, italiano, francés y alemán, la versión comercial esta disponible en tiendas de Bottega Veneta desde el 2 de octubre y en las principales librerías de todo el mundo. Su edición de lujo, viene presentada en una caja de piel trenzada, que se venderá exclusivamente en Bottega Veneta.
 
El libro se presenta como "un panorama ricamente ilustrado de la mano de obra fina, diseño ymateriales extraordinarios que han permitido a la marca italiana establecerse como uno de los más prestigiosos fabricantes de bienes de lujo en el mundo". Es el resultado de la colaboración entre Tomas Maier, el diseñador de libros Shahid Sam y reconocidos periodistas de moda. Dear readers, today a book news: Bottega Veneta, the luxury brand founded in Vicenza, Italy, in 1966 has published his first book. NOBILIS SIMPLICITAS: Vincent Van Duysen

Su objetivo principal es crear espacios funcionales, volúmenes racionales e iluminación controlada. Su máxima "Nobilis Simplicitas". Para el arquitecto Vincent Van Duysen el lujo es una simple cuestión de proporción. Su obra es todo lo opuesto a la ostentación.

Los planos, fáciles de interpretar, plasman la funcionalidad de sus proyectos y la reducción de volúmenes a los estrictamente esencial. Los materiales, colores y texturas es para VVD una parte más de su trabajo que he querido plasmar en estas fotos.

En este libro se encuentran sus trabajos más destacados desde 1993 que comprenden casas, espacios comerciales y diseño industrial.

His main objective is to create functional spaces, rational volumes and controlled lighting. His motto "Nobilis Simplicitas". To the architect Vincent Van Duysen luxury is a simple matter of proportion just the opposite of ostentation.
The plans are easy to interpret, capture the functionality of their projects and reducing volumes to bare essentials. The materials, colors and textures for VVD is another part of his work that I wanted to capture in these photos.
In this book are his most outstanding works since 1993 which includes houses, commercial and industrial design.

Parece que la primavera no sólo ha llegado a nuestro calendario, también se manifiesta en el buen tiempo y en el sol espléndido del que estamos disfrutando en Lugano. ¿También en vuestras ciudades?
Tricia Guild: Colors, Patterns, and Space es un maravilloso libro que no me canso de ojear, donde la fundadora de la marca Designers Guild derrocha su imaginación y genialidad en el diseño y combinación de tejidos siempre coloridos y vibrantes. Me chifla cómo es capaz de crear magia en los interiores. Perfecto para inspirar esta nueva estación.

Para acabar la semana seguimos con más fotografía y moda. La tercera y última parte de la serie Caracolas, Piedras & Mario Testino os la presento hoy (clic, clic, clic). Esta fotografía sobre seis de las top models más destacadas de la historia me ha llamado mucho la atención, tal vez por la composición, los vestidos, los colores, la belleza de estas mujeres (diría TODO). Ninguna de las seis magníficas, entre las que señalo a Cindy Crawford como mi absoluta favorita, pierden su protagonismo en esta imagen. ¿Tienes  alguna favorita de la historia de las tops?

For ending the week more about photography and fashion. I present today the third and last part of the Shells, Stones & Mario Testino series (click, click, click). This photography about six of the leading supermodels of the history has caught my attention, perhaps because of the composition, the costumes, the colors, the beauty of these women (I would say ALL). None of the six magnificent (Crawford Cindy is my absolute favorite) lost its leading role in this picture. Have you a favorite historic model?

CARACOLAS, PIEDRAS & MARIO TESTINO - Parte I

SHELLS, STONES & MARIO TESTINO - Part I

  

 

Aquí estoy con la continuación de la serie Caracolas, Piedras & Mario Testino. ¿Qué cómo surgió? Quise tomar unas fotos del interior del libro recordando la famosisíma exposición Todo o Nada, la cual tuve la gran suerte de visitar el año pasado, y la creatividad hizo el resto. Que si unas caracolas por aquí, unas piedras por allá.... Sí , lo admito, me vuelven loca las piedras de colores llamativos, y todo tipo de objetos marinos que uso como detalles en decoración. Ya sabeis que siempre tengo que poner mi propia guinda decorativa...

Esta es una parte de la serie basada en algunas de mis fotos favoritasa sobre vestidos  impresionantes. Testino, a parte de un gran fotógrafo es un gran artista y conocedor de la moda. La recreación de ambientes, como queda plasmado, la domina como nadie. ¿Qué os puedo decir de él que no sepamos ya?

I am back with the continuation of the Caracolas, Piedras & Mario Testino series. I wanted to remember my visit to the famous Todo o Nada exhibition, taking some pictures from the same named book, and creativity did the rest. Some shells here, some stones there.... Yes, I go crazy for gorgeous colored stones and all kind of marine objects which I use as decorative details. You know I have always put my own decorative icing...
This is a part of the series based on some of my favourites photos of stunning dresses. Testino, apart of a great photographer is a great artist and connoisseur of fashion. The recreation of environments, as is noted, he dominates it. What can I tell about him?

Buenos días y feliz lunes! ¿Qué tal vuestro "finde"? Puedo decir que estoy muy satisfecha con los resultados de unos pequeños trabajos que he desarrolado estos días de relax, siempre relacionados con el blog. Mi imaginación y la creatividad han dado, por fín, sus frutos. Creedme que para uno de ellos me rompí el coco hasta llegar a algo satisfactorio.

Estas fotos son un avance de parte de mi primer trabajo y que publicaré en los próximos días. Una serie de imágenes sobre composiciones de piedras, caracolas e interiores del libro de Mario Testino Todo o Nada: su famosa exposición a la que tuve la fortuna de asistir el año pasado en Madrid... Y sí! el segundo trabajo, del que os hablé aquí recientemente, se trata de un sorteo que llevo tiempo (tal vez demasiado) planeando, y que saldrá a la luz muyyyy pronto. Os puedo adelantar que lo he hecho con mis manos! (qué será, seráaaa....)

Good morning and happy Monday! How about your weekend? I can say that I am very satisfied with the results of two small works I've developed during these days off, both of them related to the blog. My imagination and creativity have finally paid off. Believe me that one of them broke my "coconut" to come up with something satisfactory.

These photos are an advance from my first work that I will publish in the coming days . A series of images on compositions of stones, shells and the book interior by Mario Testino, Todo o Nada: his famous exhibition to which I could attend last year in Madrid... And yes! the second work, of which I spoke here recently, is a giveaway that takes me many long time (perhaps too) for planning, and will come out here soon. I can say that I've done it with my hands! (What will be, will beeee....)
