LA COCINA ECLÉCTICA

THE ECLECTIC KITCHEN

A selection of noble pieces and other from lowest "social class" live in harmony in this kitchen where probably the dishes are cooked with the same care that it was designed. It may sound like poetry, but good design is all sensitivity and maybe some chance.

COCINAR Y COMER ES UN PLACER

COOKING AND EATING IS A PLEASURE

This is my dreaming space (and probably for more than one too). Shared spaces within bright walls of old moldings, and ceilings of 3.15 m! A continued oak pavement integrates the kitchen into the dining room, and vice versa, and the decor motifs of the dining room walls are repeated also in a the kitchen that combines different tiling with a very discreet finishing. Cooking and eating here is a pleasure.

TAXIDERMIA EN LA COCINA

TAXIDERMY IN THE KITCHEN

A collection of striking objects can be a great idea to decorate a kitchen. To Lorenzo Castillo definitely imagination and good taste is not short... Of course, a good collection of fake wicker taxidermy of the 60's, either.

TOQUES DE ROJO, ORO Y CRISTAL: Época de Navidad

TOUCHES OF GOLD, RED AND CRYSTAL: Christmas time

In Christmas time is a classic but the combination of gold, red and crystal colors never fails at this time of the year.
I liked the joke so simple of these three colors in this dinning room. A touch of intense red on the cups contrasts with everything else. The gold bright
and in small doses by the vintage table legs in brass, and in some pieces of kitchenware. And glassware and chairs Philippe Starck methacrylate provide the transparency of glass instead.Have a wonderful "pre-Christmas" weekend.

UNA SEMANA OCUPADA...Y CALUROSA

A BUSY WEEK...AND WARM

Feliz semana!

Hi!, how is your week going? While some lucky people are enjoying a well deserved vacation I have to work hard. A lot of work for the quietest month of the year. Ah! And the temperature rise doesn't help to follow the obligations ... For getting some cold temperatures we got into the habit of going to the forest in the afternoon to make a wonderful picnic. It's like taking a mini-vacation on the workday.
Happy Wednesday!

LA COCINA DE VERVOORDT

VERVOORDT'S KITCHEN

Feliz martes!

Last Saturday I revisited my favorite decoration studio in Como, Castagna, where they showed me more about materials, especially the study of wood. Apart from working with different finishes on new woods, Castagna gives a new life as furniture to the old woods.
Aesthetics is not the top in a decorator also the knowledge of materials and their possibilities.
Vervoordt Jr. (Boris) shows in this kitchen the exploration and mastery of wood treatment creating rustic furniture, varied in its finishing and integrated seamlessly into this XVII house. The flooring hasn't been left to chance and he has recovered a Flemish XVIII ceramic as it all. There are always genius to learn from.

Happy Tuesday!

COCINA RUSTICA MODERNA

MODERN COUNTRY KITCHEN

Morning!
I rarely post images of kitchens and today I propose a very special one. In fact I think this is the first time I do, but I haven't nothing against them. I think is one of the most important parts of a home.
I like the character of their materials, in this case. The rustic wood makes a cozy place and modern furniture pieces give it the perfect cool touch. Countryside or city? Well, this kitchen could be in a large countryside house but also in an fabulous apartment in the city. Ideal for cooking, family gatherings, or workspace...

Happy Thursday to all.

ESE FRIGO ...

THAT FRIDGE ...

Atrevido y acertado!

No, this morning I didn't wake up smiling like the model Eugenia Silva does in the photo. I had needed to sleep more hours in the last week so my waking up in recent days leaves little place to a good mood ...
Well, what it makes change my face is my  breakfast of milk and cereal and the daily finding of new designs, and to came across with others which have already become a classic contemporary design, as this SMEG fridge, 50's style.
Eugenia has chosen in pink colour for her eclectic rustic kitchen. Daring and successful!
