YOUNG PRODIGY: Pablo Paniagua
Hace cinco años (madre mía cómo pasa el tiempo), en la exposición de Casa Decor en Madrid me enamoré perdidamente de uno de los espacios. Tengo que decir que en los últimos años he dejado de ir porque siempre encuentro los mismos decoradores y poco que realmente me llene. Pero aquel flechazo quedó en mi memoria y también el nombre del autor. Me acerqué a un chico joven que estaba por allí y le pregunté si era él diseñador. "Sí", me dijo, y muy amable respondió a alguna de mis comentarios. Os podeis imaginar: " Qué espacio más bonito", "Es algo diferente a todo lo demás", "¿El estudio lo tienes en Madrid?", etc. Y me quedé con su tarjeta de visita. Yo, que lo guardo todo comprobé que había expuesto también el año anterior y había sido también uno de mis favoritos.
El interiorista era Pablo Paniagua y desde el momento que vi la decoración supe que ya era una joven promesa del interiorismo español. Le perdí la pista y buscando, y buscando en internet supe que ganó el premio Pascua Ortega en el 2006 (bien merecido)... y qué tenemos la misma edad (32). Sólo que yo de mayor quiero ser cómo él.
Estas fotos son de 2006 y 2007, os podeis imaginar los proyectazos que hará ahora. Os aseguro que en vivo los interiores son todavía más espectaculares. Su estilo, siempre contemporáneo, mezcla épocas y materiales nobles. Además estudió Historia del Arte, cosa que se refleja en el dominio de diferentes estilos. La luz es herramienta principal en sus trabajos y salta a la vista que el resultado es exquisito. Su intención es no pasar de moda y que sus interiores sean vigentes en el tiempo. Diría que lo conseguirá y es un concepto que tengo siempre como ejemplo.
Os dejo esta pequeña muestra para que os recreis la vista. Yo la tengo pegada en mi pared de inspiraciones como mi casa ideal porque tengo serias intenciones de conseguir algo parecido, aunque me cueste más tiempo... ¿Cuál es tu sueño?
Five years ago (how time flies), at the Casa Decor exhibition in Madrid, I fell in love with one of the spaces. I have to say that in recent years I stopped going because I always find the same decorations and little to really fill me. But that space remained in my memory and also the name of the author. I approached a boy who was there and asked if he was the designer. "Yes" he said, and very kindly responded to some of my comments. You can imagine: "What a beautiful space!" "It's unlike anything else". "Have you got the studio in Madrid?", etc.
The interior designer was Pablo Paniagua and from the moment I saw his decoration I knew that it was a promising young Spanish interior designer. I lost track and searching, and searching in the Internet I learned that he won Pascua Ortega award in 2006 (well deserved) ... and we are the same age (32). But when I grow up I want to be like him.
These photos are from 2006 and 2007 and I assure you that in alive the interiors are even more spectacular. His intention is create timeless spaces and I would say that he will get it because his style, always contemporary, mixing periods and noble materials. He also studied Art History, and this is reflected in the domain of different styles. Light is the main tool in his work and obvious that the result is exquisite.
I leave this small sample to enjoy it. I have it stuck in my wall of inspiration as my dream house because I have serious intentions to get something like this, even if it costs more time... What about your dreams?
