LOCURA ECLÉCTICA

ECLECTIC MADNESS

This home is definitely a good example of ECLECCTICISM = HARMONY. I totally believe that homes need to have something old to throw soul. This one, in the center of Mexico DF is full of the personality of its inhabitant, the interior designer Dirk Jan Kinet.
The blue walls of the livingroom have absolutely caught my eye. Kinet painted with his own hands, leaving a jagged effect and a pretty dragonflies and others printings
.
Thtat's it: imagination to power and ......and many walkings to the street
markets!

RESTAURADO,... "MA NON TROPPO"

RENOVATED,...

Who will not fall in love of this building? At first sight! Of course, the first thing I'd do is to make a good restoration of the interior. In this appartment Axel Vervoodt decided to keep its original features and it mostly without giving up a good job of rehabilitation. He, who gives up nothing, got the perfect balance by between old boards that become a table, marble angled sculptures and extraordinary pieces brought from the Land of the Rising Sun. Serenity between Venetian canals...

LONDINENSE IRREVERENTE

IRREVERENT LONDONER

A dramatic balance leads this mixture of vintage and kitch items where the London interior designer Abigail Ahern doesn't want to know about minimalism and clean architecture. All decorative object that reaches her hands are "valid". The irreverent side of a London full of creativity is her inspiration.

I hope you had a fun Halloween night. I'm writing from Spain this time...I wish you a wonderful weekend.

SIGLO XX CONTEMPORÁNEO

CONTEMPORARY TWENTIETH CENTURY

Feliz semana.

Despite cloudy days my penchant for the color in the interiors doesn't stop. Yet this is not the main subject of my post today, rather emphasizes the proper design of pieces from the past century that are still contemporary nowadays.
The interior designer Jaime Beristain has made his Barcelona apartment a home where almost all the furniture pieces are from the twentieth century. Masterfully they become stars of the scene.

Happy week.
