"MEMPHIS" STYLE

Grupo Memphis - dícese del grupo italiano de arquitectura y diseño industrial fundado por Ettore Sottsass en 1981, con gran influencia durante toda la década de los 80 por su marcado estilo postmodernista.... Y hoy, todavía, de gran inspiración en la decoración.

Formas geométricas, aire kistch y colorido a raudales sirven para clasificar este movimiento que seguro lo habéis visto en muchas ocasiones. 

La semana ha pasado volando y a pesar de todas las ideas que bullen en esta cabecita para publicar en el blog siempre me falta tiempo para hacerlo. Durante el fin de semana continuaré con el trabajo, y por supuesto algo de tiempo relajado para mí y la familia es absolutamente necesario. Os deseo un feliz in de semana.

Memphis Group - is named to the Italian group of architecture and industrial design founded by Ettore Sottsass in 1981 with great influence throughout the 80s for its strong postmodernist style .... And today, still, a great inspiration in decoration.
Geometric shapes, kitsch and splash of colour classify this collective that you came across many times.

The week has flown by and in spite of all the ideas that teem in this head to post on the blog I always miss time to do so. During the weekend I'll continue to work, and of course some relaxing time for me and the family is absolutely needed. I wish you a wonderful weekend.

PANE & TULIPANI

Hola a todos. Hace casi dos años que hice estas fotos y bueno, no sé bien porqué no las había publicado hasta ahora. El lugar se llama "Pane & Tulipani" situado e la ciudad italiana de Como, y descubierto por casualidad en una de nuestras escapadas a la ciudad.
Se trata de un restaurante de ambiente campestre que comparte actividad con una floristería, de ahí el nombre, también con ese mismo aire campestre que veis y que tanto me gusta. No tengo fotos de la parte más interior que correspondería a la de la zona del comedor y la floristería, que sigue una decoración muy rústica manteniendo, al igual que en el resto del local, un respeto total por la estructura original.
Aquí podeis comer a muy buen precio platos sencillos italianos, tomar el aperitivo o comprar flores. ¿Os gusta? Podeis ver más fotos aquí, aquí y aquí.

Hello everyone. Almost two years ago I took these pictures... well, I don't know why I hadn't posted them until now. We came across with this restaurant in one of our visits to Como and since then is one of our favorite place to eat. Its name "Pane & Tulipani" (Bread & Tulips).
It is a country restaurant that shares activity with a florist business too, hence the name, also with that same rustic decoration that you see. I haven't got any pictures of the inside, that would correspond to the dining area, which keeps, as in the rest of the areas, a total respect for the original structure. 
Here you can eat Italian tasty dishes by an affordable price, take the evening aperitif or buy a bunch of pretty flowers. Do you like it? See more photos here, here and here...

RENOVATED,... "MA NON TROPPO"

!¿Quién no se enamoraría a primera vista de este edificio?! Eso sí, lo primero que pensaríamos es en hacer una buena restauración del interior. Axel Vervoodt decidió que este piso mantendría sus elementos originales en su mayoría y ello sin renunciar a una buen trabajo de rehabilitación. Él, que no renuncia a nada, encuentra el orden perfecto entre tablas viejas rescatadas que hacen la veces de mesa, esculturas angulosas de mármol y piezas extraordinarias traídas de la Tierra del Sol Naciente. Serenidad entre canales venecianos...

In this appartment Axel Vervoodt decided to keep its original features and it mostly without giving up a good job of rehabilitation. He, who gives up nothing, got the perfect balance by between old boards that become a table, marble angled sculptures and extraordinary pieces brought from the Land of the Rising Sun. Serenity between Venetian canals...

MODERN MEETS ANCIENT

Visitando el blog Chic & Decó me topé con este refugio rebosante de serenidad. Todo ello estudiado al milímetro, claro está, porque los propietarios como buenos arquitectos no dejaron nada al azar... El simple encalado de las paredes devuelve a estos muros el respeto que se merecen. La tonalidad neutra de sus interiores crean una atmósfera de sosiego. Moderno y Rústico han encontrado aquí su perfecto nido de amor.

Browsing the Chic & Decó blog I come across this refuge overflowed with serenity... But nothing here is to random. The whitewashed of the walls returns to the structure the respect they deserve. The neutral tone of the interiors create a calm atmosphere. Modern and Rustic found here their perfect love nest.

UNA VIVIENDA FAMILIAR: b-arch

A FAMILY HOME: b-arch

Parece que los interiores de esta vivienda, en Prato, Italy, desprendan armonía en una ambiente familiar. Es un buen ejemplo de la máxima que intento seguir: Menos Es Más. 

Una arquitectura sin ornamentos que deja protagonismo a una decoración sencilla pero con un marcado carácter estético y funcional.

¿Qué tal vuestro fin de semana? 

Nuevas adquisiciones vintage han entrado en casa. El sábado me di un paseo por el mercadillo y econtré unos vasitos de licor realizados a mano en vidrio soplado, por lo que todos tienen algo de diferente entre sí. Estoy deseando hacer unas fotos para mostrároslas. 

Por lo demás nieve y lluvia sin parar... Nada mejor que la compañía de mi chico para un fin de semana relajado.

It seems that these interiors, in Prato, Italy, emit harmony in a happy family atmosphere. It is a good example of the maxim that I try to follow: Less Is More.  

An architecture without ornaments that highlights a simply decoration with a strong aesthetic and functional character.

How was your weekend?
New vintage arrivals have come at home. I took a walk through the Saturday market, in Lugano, and I acquired a few glasses of liquor. They are in handmade blown glass, so that each one has something different to each other. I can't wait to take some pictures to post them.
Otherwise nonstop snow and rain...Nothing better than my boyfriend's company for a relaxing weekend.
