TOUCHES OF GOLD, RED AND CRYSTAL: Christmas time

Es un clásico en Navidad pero el juego de dorado, rojo y cristal nunca falla por estas fechas.
Me ha gustado la combinación tan sencilla de estos tres colores en este comedor. Un simple toque de rojo intenso en las copas que contrastan con todo lo demás. El dorado lo aportan las patas de latón de la mesa vintage y en pequeñas dosis algunas piezas del menaje. Y la cristalería y las sillas de metacrilato de Philippe Starck aportan la transparencia del cristal.
Feliz fin de semana "prenavideño".

In Christmas time is a classic but the combination of gold, red and crystal colors never fails at this time of the year.
I liked the joke so simple of these three colors in this dinning room. A touch of intense red on the cups contrasts with everything else. The gold bright and in small doses by the vintage table legs in brass, and in some pieces of kitchenware. And glassware and chairs Philippe Starck methacrylate provide the transparency of glass instead.Have a wonderful "pre-Christmas" weekend.

Érase una vez un excéntrico (podríamos llamarlo así) diseñador que se llamaba Lee Brown. Su imaginación no tenía fín y encontraba inspiración en otros objetos, como podían ser los decantadores de whisky, para dar forma a sus creaciones. Una de esas creaciones resultó ser una lámpara a la que llamó Crystal Bulb...

... Cuentos a parte he tenido un flechazo con estas lámparas (reales) de forma tan simple como una bombilla y sin embargo inspiradas en las clásicas botellas de whisky inglesas. La luz proyectada hace un juego geométrico curioso de luces y sombras. ¿No os parecen elegantes?

Once upon a time an eccentric (we could name him so) designer named Lee Brown. His imagination was endless and found inspiration in other objects, as the whiskey decanters, to shape their creations. One of these creations turned out to be a lamp that was called Crystal Bulb ...
... Tales apart I had a crush on these lamps (they are real) of simple forms as a light bulb and yet inspired by classic Scotch whiskey decanters. The projected light creates an enchanting light effects. Don't you find it elegant?

INSPIRATION IN LONDON

 

La semana pasada hice una visita fugaz de dos días a Londres, ciudad que no visitaba desde hacía seis años. Nunca había estado en esta época fría del año y creedme hacía MUCHO-MUCHO frío (lo está diciendo una de Burgos).

A pesar de todo siempre es un placer volver a la capital británica por la belleza de sus calles y la cantidad de estímulos culturales que se encuentran. En los pocos ratos que el trabajo me dejó libres aproveché para mi shopping de rigor y plasmar con mi cámara un poco de inspiración londinense. El hotel donde estuve alojada fue The  Montague on the Gardens. Exquisito servicio y buen ejemplo de estilo inglés.

Os deseo una feliz semana.

Last week I made a fleeting visit to London of two days, city that not visited for six years. I've never been in this season and believe me it was VERY-VERY cold.
Yet it is always a pleasure to return to the British capital for the beauty of its streets and the cultural life you can enjoy. In the few times that the work let me free I took the oportunity for my required shopping and capture with my camera some London inspiration. 

The fabulous hotel where I stayed was the The Montague on the Gardens. Exquisite service and good example of British style.

NAVIDAD SEXY

SEXY CHRISTMAS

Sí, siempre me quejo de que las tiendas empiezan cada vez más pronto a bombardearnos con la decoración navideña pero he caído en la tentación y ayer decidí poner mi apartamento a punto en lo que al tema se refiere. Como veis he sido bastante parca porque no soy NADA fan de poner guirnaldas, lazos y demás atuendos decorativos. Vale, las bolas son una excepción. Es más he decidido que ni siquiera árbol para este año y me he divertido colgando unos detalles en mi orquídea sin florecer. Sí, sí, esto es todo lo que vais a ver de árbol navideño en mi casa. Lo que sí me chifla y estoy a punto de hacerme con ella es esta corona de plumas que encontrareis en Zara Home.

Me ha gustado dar ese estilo mío muy personal, que sin estudiarlo ha dado un resultado un toque un tanto sexy. ¿Qué os parece?

Yes, I always complain that the stores earlier and earlier start to offer the Christmas decorative items but I succumbed to the temptation so yesterday I decided to decor my apartment too. You can see that I've been pretty frugal because I'm not a fan of garlands, ribbons and other decorative outfits. (ok, balls are an exception). Furthermore I have decided that no tree this year so I enjoyed hanging some details in my orchid not blooming. Yes, yes, this is all you are going to see about Christmas tree at my house. What makes me crazy is this wonderful crown of feathers that you will find in Zara Home and that I can't wait to buy.
I liked to put my very personal style wich no studied has given a touch somewhat sexy. What do you think?
