I was browsing my last year Vogue Jewels magazine when I had a crush on the sensitivity of these two jewels belonging to the  jewelry collection of Chanel, Les Plumes. The feathers were for Coco Chanel a passion that lasted a lifetime and gave life to a collection with such evocative names as Colibri, Plumetis or Nid. What do you think? The brooch named Plume, that you see in the first photo, is the emblematic piece, made in white gold and a total of 1,161 diamonds!
Do you like wearing jewells? I don't usually have the need to show up the opulence of a jewel but I love to see them as small and exquisite sculptures.

Happy weekend ...

  2. usually I find my wedding ring enough and maybe earrings ... but I do think I'd wear something as pretty as Coco Chanel if I could afford it ;-)

  3. I'm not that into jewelry besides my wedding ring (i even stopped wearing my engagement ring) and my watch. I sometimes wear a statement necklace. But the second piece you show here is so so so beautiful! I would wear that! Have a wonderful weekend! xo

  6. For everyday I wear just wedding&engagement ring and my beautiful watch. I do love brooches and have a couple of vintage pieces that I wear on a coat during winter or a scarf. But if I could afford it I'd wear something Chanel for somewhere special!

    Besos!!

  9. I think the jewelry in the photos look somewhat similar to some of Marie Antoinette's accesories. The plume looks like the one made of diamonds that Louis XVI gave her so she would stop wearing such long real feathers (or so I have read). And the bow reminds me of the one in the necklace that she didn't buy... I'm not saying that the items are identicall but that they have an air of similarity..
